New Name, Same Mission

Release Date: April 15, 2022

Cincinnati, Ohio, April 15, 2022— Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati is now Found House Interfaith Housing Network. The name is changing, but mission and services remain the same.

Found House Interfaith Housing Network provides emergency shelter in partnership with interfaith communities to families with no place else to turn and on-going housing and supportive services so that homelessness does not recur.

Why Found House? Because it is all about housing! From the radical hospitality shown to families that have lost housing by partners in houses of worship to scattered site housing programs offering supportive services and temporary rental subsidies, to Melrose Place–currently under construction—that will offer 26 new units of supportive housing. Ensuring families have access to housing that meets the full range of needs–household members with disabilities, parents with limited income, kids that need nurturing spaces to play and grow, families that count dogs and cats among their members—is who we are and what we do.

Why Interfaith Housing Network? Because ensuring housing for all families requires the community to come together as one. Interfaith partners have been the driving force of what we do for thirty years, providing temporary shelter in partnership with our professional staff, as well as support through continuous financial and in-kind contributions. Perhaps even more important: Catholic, Jewish, Unitarian, Muslim, Protestant, and so many other partners representing the richness and diversity of greater Cincinnati, are community ambassadors. They spread the message that affordable housing is not a challenge too big to overcome, but one that each of us plays a part in resolving.
